TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Today’s reading is only one verse from the second book of the Bible – Exodus. In this book, God saves Israel from slavery in Egypt, then enters a special relationship with them. He gives them the Law and shows them His presence with wonderful acts of power and caring. The verse below embodies the entire book of Exodus. As you read this verse, thank God for his presence in our lives as the Lord who, through Jesus Christ, dwells with us and brings us out of bondage from sin to salvation.
“They will know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out of Egypt so that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God.” (Exodus 29:46)
