TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
The church in Thessalonica held a special fondness in the apostle Paul’s heart. In his first letter to them he recalls how they accepted his news about Jesus as the word of God. Even when their countrymen persecuted them they stayed true to the Lord. Paul considered their faithfulness as a trophy of God’s grace. They were indeed his glory and joy.
I Thessalonians 2:20
Indeed, you are our glory and joy.
