TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
We did not search Him out. He is the one who knocks, and to be saved, we must answer. He also "saves" implying that we are lost, in danger, and unable to pull ourselves out of our dilemma of sin. Bottom line -- we are lost. But there is hope. Jesus came to seek and save all who take Him as Lord!
"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10). Luke was a doctor and wrote his Gospel to the Gentiles. Notice in this book of the Bible that Jesus' purpose was to "seek" and to "save." The word “seek” implies that He takes the initiative.
