Discover It
We all love spending time with friends and family—sharing meals, laughing, and making memories. These moments remind us of the joy of relationships. And in the Bible in Revelation 3:20, Jesus expresses the desire, not only to save us and forgive us, but to dine with us in close personal fellowship. He knocks on the door of our hearts, asking to come in and share life with us. Jesus desires a close relationship, not just an incidental acknowledgment. And just as we thrive when we have a real connection with others, we thrive spiritually when we “socialize" with Jesus and invite Him into every part of our lives. So, remember to prioritize your relationship with Jesus while also being intentional about building loving relationships with others.

1. How does it make you feel to know that Jesus wants to "dine with you" and spend time with you personally?
2. What are some ways we can “hear” Jesus knocking on the door of our hearts?
3. How can we balance our time spent with friends and family with time spent growing closer to Jesus?
Live It
1. Create Space: Set aside 10 minutes daily to “open the door” to Jesus through prayer or Bible reading. Treat this as quality time with Him.
2. Family Time with Jesus: Have a family meal where you include a short Bible reading and discussion about how Jesus wants to be part of our lives.
3. Invite Jesus In: Before starting your day or an activity, pray as a family, asking Jesus to guide and be part of your decisions.
4. Community Connection: Consider inviting a neighbor or church member over for dinner and share about how Jesus has made a difference in your life.
Pray It
Dear Jesus, thank You for loving us and wanting to spend time with us. We hear Your knock on our hearts and invite You in. Help us to grow closer to You every day and to include You in every part of our lives. Show us how to share Your love with others. Bless our family and help us to be a light for You in our community. In Your name, we pray. Amen.
