"Embarking on an Impossible Quest"
Galatians 6:14, Romans 5:8, Hebrews 12:14
“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world,” (Galatians 6:14). “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us,” (Romans 5:8). “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord,” (Hebrews 12:14).

On our own, the quest is impossible—we are flawed and sinful. However, God’s grace makes the impossible possible. Romans 5:8 reminds us that while we were still sinners, Christ’s sacrifice on the cross bridged the gap between us and God. Galatians 6:14 calls us to boast only in the cross of Christ, acknowledging that victory over sin and the ability to live a holy life come solely through His work.
